Macedonia's Ministry of Labour and Social Policy has announced the declaration of Wednesday, November 21, 2012, as the 10th Tree-Planting national non-working public holiday for the citizens of the Republic of Macedonia.

Contrary to previous occasions (2011-11-22, 2011-03-28, 2010-11-17, 2010-03-28, 2009-11-12, 2008-11-18, and 2008-03-12), it appears that this additional non-working public holiday will not be compensated by a nearby Saturday being declared a regular working day.

This is the 10th such "Tree Day - Plant Your Future" public holiday since 2008. Usually one is held in the spring and one in the fall (although the spring 2009 and 2012 tree planting days were held on Saturdays).
