Pakistan Sindh Public Holidays December 27-28

The Chief Minister of Pakistan's Province of Sindh, Syed Qaim Ali Shah, has announced that Thursday and Friday, December 27 and 28, 2018, would be non-working state public holidays.

For the last 4 years (2011-12-10, 2010-12-23, 2009-12-19 and 2008-12-17), Pakistan's Province of Sindh has observed December 27 as an annual non-working public holiday to mark the anniversary of the death of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairwoman Benazir Bhutto (2007-12-28 and 2008-02-06).

The December 28 public holidays is to be on account of the Urs of Hazrat Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai, which has been a quasi-annual, event in Pakistan's Province of Sindh for the few past years (2012-01-06, 2011-01-18 and 2010-01-27).
