The recently-elected Russian President, Vladimir Putin, has announced an RF Government Resolution, which declares Monday and Tuesday, May 7 and 8, 2012, as additional non-working public holidays throughout Russia.

These 2 additional non-working public holidays will thus link the previous weekend with the Wednesday, May 9, 2012, non-working public holiday which was listed in last summer's (2011-07-21) RF Government Resolution No.581 of July 20, 2011, "On the Rescheduling of Days Off for 2012".

As was done on previous occasions, whenever one-off bridge public holidays were declared (2010-08-24, 2009-11-10, 2008-11-28, 2007-08-11, 2007-01-06, 2006-11-11, and 2005-12-28), the 2 aforementioned bridge public holidays will be compensated by Saturday, May 5, and Saturday, May 12, 2012, having been declared regular working days.
