Saskatchewan Public Holiday Revision

Source: The Regina Leader-Post (Regina)

The Government of Canada's Province of Saskatchewan has announced a sweeping review of labour legislation in Saskatchewan, including the question of whether the province has the appropriate number of public holidays.

Interestingly, the aforementioned revision comes at a time when the Family Day public holiday, introduced by Saskatchewan and Alberta in the 1990's, is making headway in many of the other Canadian Provinces (2007-10-11, 2007-09-26, 2008-11-27, 2009-04-24, 2011-02-03, and 2011-10-05).
