Serbia's government advisor for energy issues, Petar Skundric, has announced that he would recommend to the government of Serbia that it declare the period of February 15-20, 2012, as non-working public holidays in Serbia in an effort to conserve energy in the midst of the current cold spell blanketing Europe.
Note that, as per the recently-amended "Law on State Holidays" of Serbia (2011-12-05), February 15 and 16 are already annual non-working public holidays in Serbia.
