Zimbabwe Public Holiday December 24

Zimbabwe's Ministry of Home Affairs has announced that President Robert Mugabe had declared Monday, December 24, 2012, as a one-off non-working public holiday throughout Zimbabwe.

As on past occasions (2011-12-20), the aforementioned announcement, is based on and refers to, the "Public Holidays and Prohibition of Business Act (Chapter10:21)", whereby the President has the power to declare special one-off public holidays under Section 2 (2) of the said "Public Holidays and Prohibition of Business Act".
