The government of Afghanistan has declared Thursday, January 24, 2013, as an official non-working public holiday in Afghanistan on the occasion of the Birthday celebration of prophet Mohammad ("Milad al Nabi").
Contrary to what happened 2 years ago (2011-02-14 and 2010-12-09), there was no need to move the Prophet's Birthday public holiday due to a conflict with the same year's Liberation Day public holiday (2007-02-14).
