The Public Relations Officer of the Islamic Foundation of Bangladesh's National Moon Sighting Committee and Religious Affairs Secretary, Kazi Habibul Awal, has announced that the moon of the month of Rabiul Awal Hijri 1434 had not been sighted in Bangladesh's sky yesterday and therefore that the Eid-e-Miladunnabi (birthday of the Prophet Mohammad), would be observed on Friday, January 25, 2013.
The aforementioned announcement, is in line with the DFIM Circular Letter of the Ministry of Public Administration, Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh (2012-11-30) which announced the official list of non-working public holidays in Bangladesh for the calendar year 2013.
