The Election Commission of Bhutan has issued a communiqué announcing that Friday, May 31, 2013, the date of the upcoming National Assembly Elections, had been declared as another one-off additional non-working public holiday throughout Bhutan.

Last month (16-Apr-2013), on the occasion of the National Council Elections, Tuesday, April 23, 2013, had also been declared as a one-off additional non-working public holiday, in addition to the official list of national and regional non-working public holidays in Bhutan for the calendar year 2013, released last fall (12-Oct-2012) by the Royal Civil Service Commission of the Government of Bhutan.
