The Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has announced that the upcoming observance of his 67th birthday would be moved, this year, from the middle of the month of Ramadan to Sunday, September 15, 2013, which has been declared a one-off non-working public holiday in Brunei Darussalam.
As per the aforementioned announcement that Sunday, September 15, 2015, had been declared a one-off non-working public holiday in Brunei Darussalam, the traditional date of July 15, 2013, will still be observed as an annual public holiday in Brunei, in line with the list of official bank holidays and public holidays in Brunei Darussalam for the calendar year 2013, as released, earlier this year (2013-01-07), by the Information Department of Brunei Darussalam's Prime Minister's Office.
