Costa Rica's Minister of Labour has confirmed that the upcoming August 2 non-working public holiday was an official non-working public holiday, as per the amended public holidays legislation of Costa Rica.
The August 2 non-working public holiday in Costa Rica was never covered by the Abel Pacheco administration 2005 law (2005-03-17) which specified that 4 public holidays would move from mid-week to the following Monday (April 11, July 25, August 15, and October 12).
