Kazakhstan 2014 Public Holidays Announced

(Posted on Thursday, December 26, 2013)

The government of Kazakhstan has released its annual official list of non-working public holidays in the Republic of Kazakhstan for the calendar year 2014.

The aforementioned announcement confirms the days in lieu public holidays that will be declared in 2014 to compensate annual public holidays that fall on a weekend.

In line with most previous years (18-Feb-2013 and 14-Jan-2011), but not all (17-Feb-2012), the announced list of non-working public holidays in the Republic of Kazakhstan for the calendar year 2014 does specify the date of the Kurban-Eid (Feast of Sacrifice) public holiday

The cancellation of the October 25 public holiday, officialized 5 years ago (25-Apr-2009 and 04-Mar-2009) is re-confirmed, and the new, May 7, Homeland Defender Day, annual non-working public holiday in Kazakhstan (19-Oct-2012) is also confirmed, without, for the moment, a bridge public holiday to link this May 7 public holiday with the annual May 9 public holiday.
