Kenyan December 11-13 Public Holidays Ruled-Out

The Kenyan Government's Cabinet Secretary for Sports Art and Culture, Hassan Arero Wario, has issued a communiqué clarifying that the only upcoming non-working public holiday in Kenya is the December 12, annual Jamhuri Day non-working public holiday, and that December 11 and/or December 13, 2013, will not be official non-working public holidays in Kenya.

The aforementioned announcement that, is in line with the memo clarifying the list of, and rules regulating, public holidays in Kenya, and which was issued by Kenya's Permanent Secretary to the Cabinet and Head of the Public Service, Francis K. Muthaura, 2 years ago (2011-01-10), following the promulgation of a new Kenyan Constitution (2010-08-12).
