The government of North Cyprus has announced that, beginning in 2013, there would be one less non-working public holiday in the official list of annual non-working public holidays in Cyprus.
As per the aforementioned announcement by the government of Northern Cyprus, beginning in 2013 the annual non-working public holiday for the Mavlid Al Nabi (the Prophet's Birthday) will no longer be included in the official list of annual non-working public holidays in Northern Cyprus.
