The Federal Government of Pakistan has announced changed dates for the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr (End of Ramadan) public holidays throughout Pakistan for the calendar year 2013.
As per the aforementioned announcement, the upcoming 2013 Eid-ul-Fitr public holidays in Pakistan will run from Thursday, August 8, to Saturday, August 10, 2013, which is a day later than what was announced in the "expected dates for public and optional holidays for the calendar year 2013" published by the Government of Pakistan at the beginning of the current year (2013-02-04).
This year, as was the case last year (2012-08-09), but contrary to what happened in previous years (2011-08-25 and 2010-09-05), the Government of Pakistan did not extend the duration of the Eid-ul-Fitr (End of Ramadan) public holidays.
