The Ministry of the Interior of Pakistan has confirmed the recently-announced extension, from 2 days to 4 days of public holidays, of the upcoming Eid-Ul-Azha (Feast of Sacrifice) public holidays in Pakistan for the calendar year 2013.

Last week's announcement (2013-10-10) that the upcoming 2013 Eid-Ul-Azha (Feast of Sacrifice) public holidays in Pakistan would run from Tuesday, October 15, until Friday, October 18, 2013, an extension of 2 days as compared to what was announced in the "expected dates for public and optional holidays for the calendar year 2013" published by the Government of Pakistan at the beginning of the current year (2013-02-04), was ambiguous as to whether it would apply only to the public sector or also to the private sector.

Today's announcement removes the ambiguity.
