A spokesman for Swaziland's Elections and Boundaries Commission (EBC), Sabelo Dlamini, has confirmed the date of Friday, September 20, 2013, as the date of the upcoming general elections.

Earlier this year (13-Mar-2012), Swaziland's Government Press Secretary, Percy Simelane, had announced that the main day of the upcoming national secondary parliamentary elections would, once again, be a non-working public holiday in Swaziland.

In the past (30-Jul-2008), a public holiday has usually been declared in Swaziland on the date of general elections.
