Antigua and Barbuda's Prime Minister-elect, Gaston Browne, has announced that as per tradition, he would declare tomorrow, Friday, June 13, 2014, as a one-off post-election public holiday in Antigua and Barbuda.

In Caribbean countries it is common, but not systematic (2011-11-28), for the day after an election to be declared as a one-off non-working public holiday (2013-02-20, 2010-01-10, 2009-12-30, 2009-12-19, 2009-09-08, 2009-03-13, 2005-05-05, 2005-02-22, 2003-05-21, 2003-10-21, 2003-11-27, 2007-01-02, 2001-12-03 and 1997-05-23).
