Bahrain's First Deputy Prime Minister, Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, has issued a circular declaring Saturday, October 25, 2014, as a non-working public holiday in Bahrain to mark the upcoming annual Islamic New Year 1436 public holiday.
In addition, Sunday, October 26, 2014, as compensation public holiday for Bahrain's public sector ("whereas that day falls on a weekend holiday, it would be offset with a recess taken on Sunday corresponding to October 26th, 2014").
