The Information Department of Brunei Darussalam's Prime Minister's Office has released a list of official bank holidays and public holidays in Brunei Darussalam during the calendar year 2015 in the Surat Keliling Jabatan Perdana Menteri Bil 9/2014 Negara Brunei Darussalam Hari-Hari Kelepasan Awam 2015.
As usual (2013-10-05), the aforementioned list of official bank holidays and public holidays in Brunei Darussalam during the calendar year 2015, signed by the Permanent Secretary to the Prime Minister's Office, Yahya Bin Haji Idris, leaves the dates of the various Muslim public holidays (Prophet Muhammad's Birthday, 1st Day of Ramadhan, Nuzul Al-Quraan, Hari Raya Aidil Fitri, Hari Raya Aidil Adha, and 1st Day of Muharram) as "Subject to changes".
In addition, the aforementioned list of official bank holidays and public holidays in Brunei Darussalam during the calendar year 2015, leaves the door open for the declaration of another one-off public holiday to be declared in August 2015, for the observance of the 69th birthday of the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, as his birthday will again fall during the month of Ramadan in 2015, as was the case for the past 2 years (2014-06-28 and 2013-07-08).
