Cameroon Public Holiday February 20

The President of Cameroon, Paul Biya, has declared Thursday, February 20, 2014, as a one-off non-working public holiday (feriée chômée sur toute l'étendue du territoire de la république du Cameroun) to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Cameroon's reunification.

The aforementioned decree ("Décret instituant le 20 février comme jour férié"), and other relating to one-off public holidays in Cameroon (2013-09-28 and 2012-04-27), is based on the "loi N°76/08 juillet 1976 modifiant et complétant certaines dispositions de la loi N°73/ 07 décembre 1973 fixant le régime des fêtes légales de le république du Cameroun".
