Dominican Republic 2014 Easter Public Holidays

The Ministry of Labour of the Dominican Republic has issued an official communiqué confirming that an annual non-working public holiday would be observed, as usual, on Friday, April 18, 2014, for the upcoming Good Friday.

The aforementioned announcement is in line with last fall's official listing of public holidays in the Dominican Republic for the year 2014 (24-Oct-2013), although last fall's announcement (01-Apr-2013) that beginning in 2014, Easter Monday would be a new annual non-working public holidays in the Dominican Republic, seems to have been abandoned.
