A cabinet spokesman for the Ministry of Manpower and Immigration has announced that Saturday, October 25, 2014, would be a non-working official public holiday for both the public sector and the private sector on account of the upcoming Hijri 1436 Islamic New Year.
The statement went on to state that, despite the fact that Saturdays are already a weekend day for most of the Egyptian private and public sectors, a substitute non-working public holiday would not be declared on Sunday, October 26, 2014.
