The Central Bank of Jordan has also announced bank holidays on Thursday and Saturday, January 1 and 3, 2015, on account of the annual non-working Jordanian public holidays on the occasion of the upcoming Western New Year and the Prophet's Birthday.
The aforementioned announcement of bank holidays on Thursday and Saturday, January 1 and 3, 2015, on account of the upcoming Western New Year and the Prophet's Birthday, is in line with the recently-released (2014-12-21), list of annual non-working bank holidays and public holidays in Jordan for the calendar year 2015, as well as yesterday's issuance by Jordanian Prime Minister, Abdullah Ensour, of a circular decreeing a non-working public holiday in Jordan on Saturday, January 3, 2015, to on the occasion of the annual Prophet Mohammad's birthday non-working public holiday in Jordan (2014-12-29).
