The Kuwaiti Civil Service Commission has announced that it had declared Tuesday and Wednesday, February 25 and 26, 2014, as non-working public holidays for the upcoming National Day and Liberation Day annual public holidays, along with, once again, an additional bridge public holiday on the following Thursday.
The aforementioned announcement states that the Kuwaiti Civil Service Commission has declared Thursday, February 27, 2014, as an additional one-off non-working public sector holiday "an official holiday for all state bodies", as had been done last year (2013-02-16).
Recall that since the revision to the Kuwaiti Labour Law, 4 years ago (2010-02-22), the February 26, Liberation Day, public holiday, is now also a public holiday for the private sector. However, the declaration of day in lieu public holidays, as was done the year before last (2012-02-16), or bridge public holidays, as was the case for the past 2 years, is still reserved for the public sector.
