Macedonia's Ministry of Labour and Social Policy has announced that Wednesday, January 7th, 2015, would be a non-working public holiday throughout Macedonia "for all citizens of the Republic of Macedonia" on account of the upcoming annual "first day of Christmas by the Orthodox calendar" annual non-working public holiday of Macedonia.
In a separate announcement, the Macedonia's Ministry of Labour and Social Policy has announced that Tuesday, January 6, 2015, would be a non-working public holiday for citizens of the Orthodox faith in Macedonia on account of the upcoming Orthodox Christmas Eve annual sectorial non-working public holiday.
The above are in line with the Law on Holidays of the Republic of Macedonia (Official Gazette, and Br.21/98 7.18) as last amended in 2007 (2007-02-08).
However, the Macedonian Ministry of Labour and Social Policy has not yet released the official list of 2015 public holidays in Macedonia, contrary to what was done in the fall of previous years (2011-11-03 and 2010-10-22), though not all (2014-01-11 and 2012-12-03).
