Malaysia's Government Cabinet has announced that it had declared Friday, August 22, 2014, as a national day of mourning, and possibly also a one-off non-working public holiday, to coincide with the date when the first bodies from Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17 are set to arrive in Malaysia.

As per the aforementioned announcement, the Malaysian government stated that it would decide next week if Friday, August 22, 2014, will also be a one-off non-working public holiday in Malaysia.
