Nicaragua's Ministry of Labour (MITRAB) has announced that Monday, December 8, 2014, would be a non-working public holiday in Nicaragua ("feriado nacional obligatorio con goce de salario para todos los trabajadores del país") on account of the annual Immaculate Conception Day public holiday in Nicaragua.
Last year (2013-12-06), Nicaragua's Ministry of Labour, through its minister, Alba Luz Torres Briones, had similarly declared Monday, December 9, 2013, as a non-working public holiday in Nicaragua to compensate the annual Immaculate Conception Day public holiday falling on a Sunday in 2013.
