The government of Niger has declared Saturday, January 3, 2015, as the date of the annual "lendemain du Mouloud" (the day after the Prophet's Birthday) non-working public holiday in Niger.
The aforementioned announcement, which refers specifically to the "Loi n° 97-20 du 20 juin 1997 instituant les fêtes légales" (23-Jun-1997) is also in line with the subsequent Loi n°98-05 du 29 avril 1998 instituant les fêtes légales (29-Apr-1998), as amended by the Loi n°2006-08 du 02 mai 2006 (09-May-2006), and with the recent announcement by the Government of Niger (09-Dec-2014) specifying the non-working public holidays in Niger for the upcoming calendar year 2015.
