The Minister of Interior of the Federal Government of Nigeria, Abba Moro, has announced that the Nigerian Government had declared Monday and Tuesday, October 6 and 7, 2014, as paid non-working public holidays throughout Nigeria on account of the upcoming annual Eid El-Kabir (Feast of Sacrifice) public holidays.

Once again (2013-10-12, 2013-10-11 and 2012-10-22), and after a one-year relapse (2012-08-13), the Nigerian Government seems to have abandoned its previous practice of following the Libyan Muslim calendar (2007-09-14).
