The Russian Central Bank has released it official annual list of the bank holidays in Russia for the upcoming calendar year 2015.
The aforementioned announcement of the official bank holidays in Russia for the year 2015, follows last summer's (2014-08-30, 2014-06-28 and 2014-05-23) announcement by the Russian government of the official decree (Government Decree of 27.08.2014 No.860) confirming the earlier-announced draft list of annual non-working public holidays in Russia for the upcoming calendar year 2015 by the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Russian Federation in its annual "Government Resolution On The Transfer Of Public Holidays in 2015", which proposes a draft list of official public holidays and bridge holidays in Russia for the upcoming calendar year 2015. As the "Government Resolution On The Transfer Of Public Holidays in 2015" (Decree of May 22, 2014, as yet unnumbered), and as was done in previous years (2013-06-03, 2012-10-17, 2012-09-29, 2011-07-21, 2010-08-24, 2009-11-10, 2008-11-28, 2007-08-11, 2007-01-06, 2006-11-11, and 2005-12-28), whenever a fixed-date annual public holiday falls on a Tuesday or Thursday, the preceding Monday or Friday is usually declared a one-off bridge public holiday, to be compensated by declaring a nearby Saturday to be a regular working day.
