Late last night, the Supreme Court of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia announced that today would be the first day of the month of "Dhul Hijja", the date on which are based the Eid Al Adha-related sets of annual public sector and private sector non-working public holidays in Saudi Arabia.

The aforementioned announcement means that the date of the Eid Al Adha in Saudi Arabia will be Saturday, October 4, 2014.

Earlier this month (26-Sep-2013), Saudi authorities had announced the extension of this year's annual Eid Al-Adha (Feast of Sacrifice) public sector holidays from 10 days to 13 days.
