The President of Sierra Leone, Ernest Bai Koroma, has in turn declared Monday, August 4, 2014, as a one-off non-working public holiday throughout Sierra Leone, on account of the current Ebola epidemic.

As per the aforementioned statement by President Koroma, that Monday, August 4, 2014, had been declared a one-off non-working public holiday throughout Sierra Leone, on account of the current Ebola epidemic ("I also hereby declare Monday, August 4, 2014, a National Stay at Home Day for Family Reflection, Education and Prayers on the Ebola outbreak").
