The Sint Maarten Labour Department has released the official annual list of non-working public holidays in Sint Maarten for the upcoming calendar year 2015.
The aforementioned list of Sint Maarten public holiday dates for 2015 once again (2013-09-27 and 2013-02-08) includes the July 1st Emancipation Day non-working public holiday whose declaration was unanimously approved legislation by the Parliament of Sint Maarten, 2 years ago (2012-06-06 and 2012-06-29).
Beginning in 2014, Sint Maarten also followed the Netherlands which changed its Queen's Birthday public holiday on April 30 to the King's Birthday on April 27 (2013-01-30). The Carnival Day public holiday was moved accordingly to link-up to the May 1st public holiday in Sint Maarten.
