The UAE's Minister of Labour, Saqr Gobash, has finally announced the dates of the upcoming annual National Day non-working public holidays in the UAE, for the private sector, as Wednesday, December 2, 2014.
Late last week (2014-11-08), the UAE Minister for Education and Chairman of the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources, under the orders of Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktou, had announced the dates of the upcoming annual National Day non-working public sector holidays in the UAE, for all ministries and federal departments from Tuesday, December 2, 2014, to Thursday December 4, 2014, with work resuming on Sunday, December 7, 2014.
Traditionally (2013-11-27, 2013-11-25, 2012-11-27 and 2012-11-22), the private sector of the UAE gets one day of public holidays less than the public sector for the UAE National Day non-working public holidays.
