The President of Uzbekistan, Islam Karimov, has issued his annual resolution "On celebration of Ramadan Hait" which declares Monday, July 28, 2014, as the non-working day off public holiday for the upcoming Ramazan Hayit (End of Ramadan).

As per the aforementioned decree, Monday, July 28, 2014, was declared as a non-working day off public holiday, "taking into account role and importance of Eid ul-Fitr in spiritual life of Uzbekistan, preserving and praising national-spiritual values".

Two years ago (2012-08-17), President Karimov had signed a resolution which declared Monday, August 20, 2012, as an additional non-working day off public holiday, due to the first day of the Ramadan Hayit of 2012 falling on a Sunday and "to celebrate the Hayit properly".
