The Government of Armenia has announced, as expected, that Monday, April 6, 2015, would be a non-working public holiday in Armenia, on account of the upcoming "Feast of the Glorious Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ", to be compensated by declaring Saturday, April 11, 2015, as a regular working day.
Earlier this week (2015-03-31), the Government of Armenia had announced that an amendment to the recently-announced annual list of official public holidays in Armenia for the calendar year 2015, would be discussed at the next Cabinet meeting on Thursday, April 2, 2015.
As per the aforementioned announcement, the Cabinet will move of the upcoming working day of Monday, April 6, 2015, to Saturday, April 11, 2015, in line with the practice (2013-11-19, 2012-12-21 and 2010-12-16), begun a few years ago (2008-06-26), of declaring public holidays for each of the "Commemoration Days of All the Departed" feasts of the lord of Armenian Apostolic Church (2012-09-07, 2012-07-06, 2012-04-06, 2010-04-01, 2010-07-09, 2010-08-13, and 2010-09-10), but foregone in the recent announcement (2015-02-24) of the list of official public holidays in Armenia for the calendar year 2015.
