Azerbaijani President, Ilham Aliyev, has submitted a bill to the parliament of Azerbaijan (Milli Mejlis) which would declare June 12, 2015, the opening day of the first European Games, as a one off non-working public holiday in Azerbaijan.

If the aforementioned bill, to declare June 12, 2015, as a one off non-working public holiday in Azerbaijan, on account of the upcoming opening day of the first European Games, were to pass, then the one-off non-working public holiday of June 12, 2015, would be in addition to the list of the annual non-working public holidays in Azerbaijan for the calendar year 2015, as announced by Azerbaijan's Cabinet of Ministers, late last year (2014-11-25).
