Bahrain Hijri 1437 Public Holiday

Bahrain's Prime Minister, Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, has issued a circular declaring Thursday, October 15, 2015, as a non-working public holiday in Bahrain to mark the upcoming annual Islamic New Year 1437 public holiday.

Contrary to last year (2014-10-23), when Sunday, October 26, 2014, was declared as a compensation public holiday for Bahrain's public sector ("whereas that day falls on a weekend holiday, it would be offset with a recess taken on Sunday corresponding to October 26th, 2014"), this year no such additional compensation public holiday for Bahrain's public sector was needed, as Thursday, October 15, 2015, the date of the non-working public holiday in Bahrain to mark the upcoming annual Islamic New Year 1437 public holiday, falls outside of a weekend (2006-08-02).
