Costa Rica's Minister of Labour and Social Security (MTSS) has confirmed that the upcoming "Día de la Virgen de los Ángeles" annual non-working public holiday in Costa Rica would be observed on its set date of August 2, and not moved to another weekday, as per the amended public holidays legislation of Costa Rica.

The August 2 non-working public holiday in Costa Rica (2013-07-30) was never covered by the Abel Pacheco administration 2005 law (2005-03-17) which specified that 4 public holidays would move from mid-week to the following Monday (April 11, July 25, August 15, and October 12).
