The Greek Finance Ministry has announced that the current stretch of bank holidays in Greece would once again be extended, this time until Monday, July 13, 2015.
Last week (2015-06-28), Greek Prime Minister, Alexis Tsipras, had announced a one-off bank holiday in Greece on Monday, June 29, 2015, when banks and the stock exchange remained closed, and as we reported, the Greek Financial Stability Council then recommended that the banks stay shut for a total of six days of bank holidays, from Monday, June 29, until Sunday, July 5, 2015, which was the case.
This initial stretch of bank holidays was later (2015-07-06) extended to July 9.
