Some of the local government agencies of Iceland, as well as many of the private sector companies in Iceland, have announced that they would observe a half-day non-working public holiday on Friday, June 19, 2015, to commemorate the 100th anniversary of women obtaining the right to vote in Iceland.

The aforementioned half-day non-working public holiday on Friday, June 19, 2015, would be in addition to the June 17 annual non-working public holiday in Iceland (2014-12-24, 2013-12-11, 2012-11-25, 2011-12-04 and 2010-11-14).
