Iceland Mulls June 19 Public Holiday

Some of the local government agencies of Iceland, as well as many of the private sector companies in Iceland, have announced that they would observe a half-day non-working public holiday on Friday, June 19, 2015, to commemorate the 100th anniversary of women obtaining the right to vote in Iceland.

The aforementioned half-day non-working public holiday on Friday, June 19, 2015, would be in addition to the June 17 annual non-working public holiday in Iceland (2014-12-24, 2013-12-11, 2012-11-25, 2011-12-04 and 2010-11-14).
