Madagascar's Conseil de Gouvernement has approved the "Décret n° 2015/055 du 13 février 2015 fixant la liste des jours fériés, chômés et payés au titre de l'année 2015", which officially declares the list of non-working public holidays in Madagascar for the calendar year 2015.

As per custom (2014-02-13, 2013-01-30, 2012-01-18, 2011-01-15, 2010-01-20, 2009-01-13 and 2008-01-16), the aforementioned list of 2015 Madagascar public holidays, is based upon the recommendation of Madagascar's Ministère de la Fonction publique, du Travail et des Lois sociales.

The aforementioned list of non-working public holidays in Madagascar for the calendar year 2015, confirms the cancellation, late last year (2014-12-04), of the December 11 public holiday which was created at the end of 2010 (2010-12-10).

This year, there are no public holidays reserved for Muslims, contrary to what was done for the past 2 years (2014-02-13 and 2013-01-30).
