Oman's minister of the Diwan of Royal Court and Chairman of the Civil Service Council, Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal bin Saud Al Busaidi, has announced tomorrow as the date of the non-working public holiday for the employees of the ministries, public authorities and other departments of the State's administrative apparatus, on the occasion of the upcoming annual Hijri New Year 1437 non-working public holiday in Oman.
In a separate announcement, Oman's Minister of Manpower, Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser Al-Bakri, announced that the 1st of Muharram 1437 AH will be an official non-working public holiday in Oman, on Thursday, October 15, 2015, for employees at the private sector's companies and establishments.
Contrary to what happened last year (2014-10-19), there was no need to move the date of the upcoming Hijri New Year 1437 non-working public holiday in Oman due to the weekend (2013-04-06).
Earlier this month (2015-10-07), Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal bin Saud Al Busaidi and Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser Al Bakri, had separately announced the decision to declare a non-working public holiday in Oman for both the private and public sectors, on the occasion of the upcoming annual Hijri New Year 1437 non-working public holiday in Oman, but had not specified the date for this upcoming public holiday.
