Oman's Sultan Qaboos bin Said has declared 3 days of public holidays in Oman on account of the death of Saudi King Abdullah, earlier this morning.
As per the aforementioned statement released by the Oman News Agency (ONA), work in both the public and private sector will be suspended today, Saturday and Sunday, January 23-25, which will be non-working public holidays in Oman, with workers returning to their duties on Monday, January 26, 2015.
Recall that, a couple of years ago (2013-04-06), Oman's Sultan Qaboos bin Said had issued a royal decree directing that, beginning on May 1st, 2013, Oman would have Friday-Saturday as the weekend for both the public as well as the private sector.
