Pahang Public Holiday May 5

The Chief Minister of the government of Malaysia's State of Pahang, Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Adnan Yaakob, has announced that the Pahang state executive council had once again declared a one-off non-working public holiday in Malaysia's State of Pahang on Tuesday, May 5, 2015, on account of the upcoming Rompin parliamentary by-election.

One-off state public holidays in Malaysia are often declared for football and sports-related events (2014-11-02, 2013-11-01, 2013-10-30, 2013-06-13, 2012-10-15, 2012-07-18, 2012-05-14, 2011-11-21, 2011-06-13, 2011-06-11, 2010-12-30, 2010-12-29, 2010-10-30, 2009-11-04,...), but also for elections (2015-04-27, 2014-09-15, 2013-05-04, 2013-05-03, 2013-04-26, 2013-04-24, and 2013-04-18).
