The Ministry of the Interior of the Federal Government of Pakistan has announced that the dates for the upcoming Eid Milad-un-Nabi (Salalah-o-Alayhi Waalah-e-Wasallam, the Prophet's Birthday) and the birthday of the Leader of the Nation, Quaid e Aza, Muhammad Ali Jinnah, annual non-working public holidays throughout Pakistan for the calendar year 2015, as Thursday and Friday, December 24 and 25, 2015.
As per the aforementioned announcement, the upcoming Eid Milad-un-Nabi (Prophet's Birthday) will be on Thursday, December 24, 2015, in line with the Ashura public holidays in Pakistan announced in the "expected dates for public and optional holidays for the calendar year 2015" published by the Government of Pakistan at the beginning of the current year (2015-01-12).
