The Paraguayan Senate has approved a motion to declare Friday and Saturday, July 10 and 11, 2015, as one-off non-working public holidays in Paraguay on account of the upcoming visit of Pope Francis in Paraguay.

The aforementioned bill, which now moves to the chamber of Deputies, would be in addition to the list of 2015 public holidays in Paraguay as announced late last year (2014-12-07 and 2014-12-18).

Note that July 9 has already been declared a one-off non-working public holiday in Bolivia's department of Santa Cruz, though not yet nationally (2015-05-05 and 2015-04-20).
