The bill previously approved by the Paraguayan Senate and then its Lower House, to declare Friday and Saturday, July 10 and 11, 2015, as one-off non-working public holidays in Paraguay on account of the upcoming visit of Pope Francis in Paraguay, was gazetted today as law No.544.

A few weeks ago (2015-05-22), the Paraguayan Senate had approved a motion to declare Friday and Saturday, July 10 and 11, 2015, as one-off non-working public holidays in Paraguay on account of the upcoming visit of Pope Francis in Paraguay, and a week later (2015-05-28), the Paraguayan Lower House (Cámara de Diputados), in turn, approved the same motion to declare Friday and Saturday, July 10 and 11, 2015, as one-off non-working public holidays in Paraguay on account of the upcoming visit of Pope Francis in Paraguay. The bill then moved to the Presidency for ratification, which we reported was done over the past weekend (2015-06-06).

The declaration of Friday and Saturday, July 10 and 11, 2015, as one-off non-working public holidays in Paraguay on account of the upcoming visit of Pope Francis in Paraguay, will be in addition to the list of 2015 public holidays in Paraguay as announced late last year (2014-12-07 and 2014-12-18).

Note that July 9 has already been declared a one-off non-working public holiday in Bolivia's department of Santa Cruz, though not yet nationally (2015-05-05 and 2015-04-20) and that July 6 and 7 were just declared as one-off non-working public holidays in Ecuador, also on account of the upcoming visit of Pope Francis (2015-06-08 and 2015-06-01).
