Seychelles' President, James Michel, has issued a proclamation in the Seychelles Official Gazette, in accordance with Section 5 of the Public Holidays Act, which declares Saturday, December 5th, 2015, as a one-off non-working public holiday in the Seychelles, on account of the upcoming presidential election in the Seychelles.

Public holidays are routinely declared in the Seychelles for elections (2006-10-13, 2011-05-19, and 2007-05-08), and the aforementioned declaration of Saturday, December 5th, 2015, as a one-off non-working public holiday in the Seychelles, on account of the upcoming presidential election in the Seychelles ("to facilitate voting in the Presidential election on Mahé, Praslin and La Digue on that day"), is in addition to the previously-released list of annual non-working public holidays in the Seychelles as announced by the government of the Seychelles, at the beginning of this year (2015-01-16 and 2015-02-13).
